As my front tire is getting close to it's end I was wondering if this would be a good time to experiment with a wider tire. My bike is equipped with handmade wheels and spokes based on a DT Swiss RR 440 rim and I am currently using Schwalbe Duranos which I believe are 25mm tires. As I am getting more and more drawn towards 28mm tires I was wondering if they actually fit on my rims. Does anyone know as I can't find the needed info.
According to DT its fine,is there enough clearance between the forks? https://www.dtswiss.com/Components/Rims-Road/RR-440 https://www.dtswiss.com/Resources/Tech-PDF/Tire_Pressure_Dimension Bare in mind tyre width isnt an exact science. For example I have a 23 mm Continental Gp4000S on a fulcrum rim that measures 26 mm and a 23 mm Veloflex Corsa on a Mavic Open pro rim that is actually 22 mm
