Welcome to CyclingDepartment @Nick Hill
Great Ferrari photo
Great views of the Rockies this AM - if you have a microscope handy (no, I'm not a great photographer), you can even see a couple hot air balloons!
Coldsnap! 70F yesterday morning at 9am. 58F this moning! Lovely.
First time I've taken this bike out in a while. Didn't know how it would feel, but riding in drops or on hoods is totally neutral for my back. Feels great.
Stunning! Wish the temps would drop over here. We're currently in a 90F heatwave. I do most of my mid week riding indoors in a glass conservatory and In these temps it's a serious health risk. The weather is nuts this year.
Yep, same here, in my side of the world and raining almost every day.
Looks like today it is warmer, jump to ... 64 (18 C)
We had the warmest May in 134 years and right now July seems like more of the same, I'm loving it! . Just one catch - the ground is now so dry it'll only take a spark from some idiot lighting a fire and the whole country will turn to ash.
Does this qualify for road ride as well? Or do we need a seperate gravel thread ?
it is not a bike it is a tank!!!!
I reckon that 'just' about qualifies for a road ride
Bike looking awesome BTW!
My old touring rig needed some love. Meant to just ride about 10 miles around the neighborhood, checking if my panniers would actually work on the new rack. But ended up in Hillsborough despite the heat. Hot. Glad I had 2 bottles! Stopped to refill once.
Adventures still available when you look for them
End to the unusual drought period in the Netherlands, had to go out.
more here if you want to read the full story
Took my old race bike out for an actual ride the other week. Old, but much lighter than the "modern" bike I usually ride.
The position wasn't as hard on me as I was expecting, but the 700x23 tires? Not for my normal, leisurely rides, thanks. Back then I thought a 700x25 was a "wide" tire.
The only concession I've made to the modern age is using SPD pedals. The Look clipless I have from that era are garbage (though they are white and look great on the bike), and walking around in those red plastic cleats is an experience best left resigned to a bad memory.
@Bram says it looks good in Dutch colors.
Tasty in NL colors haha
Some pics of my ride today. What a lovely day.
Could be an advert for "Take your bike out and go see Nature!"
How about bicycle facilities
The bicycle facilities explode. (It Is Known).
Bicycle facilities are culminating to an unimaginable level.
One of my nicest rides.
IT IS AN HIGHWAY
New tyres mounted today. 40mm Vittoria's tubeless.
TELL ME EVERYTHING!!!!
Looks mean and ready for winter!
That massive frame makes the wheels look like 650b
Joking aside, it looks stunning
