Ah, you're lucky. You've happened upon a flock of grazing muppets.
Heh, that may be, but I didn't like the evil grin on the last one
Agreed. It creeps me out even more to imagine you pedaling past these large creatures in the dark of night... (shudders)
Came across this popular local teahouse "Rhijnauwen" on my daily ride. Really nice end to a ride going through the gate.
Some sort of celebration!
Exactly 1 year ago I started cycling with 3 kms a day. Makes this 73km beautiful night ride a worthy event
Definately something to be proud of! Congrats Velo. Love seeing these night shots. Is it a commute or are you just riding at night?
No I just love riding at night
That's awesome. I don't mind riding at night but it's something i do out of necessity rather than choice. Kudos for that.
Not much from me this week, but managed to get a couple of POV snaps from some testing i did with the chest mount. Really loving the footage you get with one of these. Great low cost accessory to have for your action cam
Riding has to take a a back seat for the next couple of weeks as we enjoy the xmas festivities. Let's see how much weight i can gain between now and new year!
Yeah, riding at night is a different world, it's magic.
Great POVs there! That's so nice about Cycling Department, you can get some impression of other riders experience.
Good Luck with the annual calories challenge
Hey maybe that would be something for STRAVA - "The Holiday Weight Gain Challenges" and "The New Year Weight Loss Achievement Series" haha
LMAO that would be hilarious.
How about special badge for consuming 1,000,000 calories during December? That's a training plan i could really get into!
I join this challenge
Hahaha me too. As a former heavy weight I rock those calories if needed.
I try to do some cycling during the holiday season. Still need 112km for my 8 month goal to reach 7000km.
Not bad for a n00b
I haven't ridden in weeks. You guys are lighting a fire under my butt. Well, the problem is, I've been lighting a fire in the fireplace instead of riding on Saturday and Sunday mornings. Making coffee, baking a pie, reading, playing a little video game. I feel like a slug. I just need to go back thru this thread, look at some nice ride pics. And then get my lazy ass into some thermal tights and toughen up. I know I'll feel better afterwards. After a cold ride, that fireplace will feel warmer and the pie will taste better.
Something to inspire
This is from my night ride yesterday. Actually had dinner there in the middle of nowhere. It was fffing cold but glad I went out!
wow what a pic!
Stunning shot Velo. Great spot to have dinner!
From yesterdays freezing fog ride in Rotterdam
Willemsbrug and Erasmusbrug hardly visible but quite "atmospheric"
Love that first one. It's one of those shots that has your mind making up stories about the scene. It's like something out of a movie or computer game
BTW. I hate freezing fog. Nothing worse than being wet and frozen. Brrrrrrrr!
Yeah that ship was spectacular.
The worst thing in these conditions is to stop to get the camera out, my fingers were numb in seconds
Yeah that ship! Definitely a screenshot from Hidden&Dangerous 2.
(Uhh, just squint to make that modern sedan look more like an Opel Duffenwagen or whatever.)
Unexpected fixie challenge
