    Ha! Believe it or not, I messed around with a similar concept when the original Tacx Fortius (one of the first gen smart trainers) hit the market in 2008. I got it to a point where i could simulate forward and back inputs from the trainer but left/right wasn't an option as smartphones with accelerators weren't common place back then. The rest had to be done from a pad or keys.

    The novelty wore off pretty quickly and it wasn't as fun as you might think. The concept definitely has potential, it just needs careful implementation to make it enjoyable in the long term. Nice to see what can be done using modern tech though. Will be interesting to see how this develops.
